Townsville raised and educated Colin commenced his insurance career in 1962. On finishing school he worked in all major North Queensland Centres, until finally returning home to Townsville where in 1986 he co-founded NQIB with his brother Larry (since retired). Colin has sold his share holding in the company but continues to be active in a consulting role.
