Lodgement is the first and in some ways the key stage of your claim. It is important to understand the scope of your coverage when lodging your claim. Incomplete or inaccurate information at lodgement stage can often lead to a claim going off track, which may cause unnecessary delays and in some cases result in a disputed claims. At NQIB prior to lodgement we vet all information, check policy coverage and where relevant seek clarification of reports and circumstances.
2.Attendance at site with builders, assessors and other services providers
Another key stage of your claim is the initial onsite attendance by the insurers service provider that is why we are there with you. We are the expert in your corner and we utilise our thorough knowledge of policy coverage and claims procedures when discussion with insurers service providers focus on some of the more intricate matters that may arise during the assessment process.
3.Ongoing management of your claim
We remain involved in your claim right throughout the process, reviewing assessors/ builders reports and other documentation that arises during the assessment of your claim. We liaise with the insurers and their service providers to ensure the claim is assessed in a timely manner. Particular attention is paid to settlement offers to ensure they fairly represent your entitlements under the policy which includes any additional benefits that may be relevant to your claim.
4.Client advocacy and dispute resolution
Sometimes despite everybody’s best efforts agreement may not be reached with the insurer. At this point we become your advocate and provide expert representation should a dispute arise with your insurer. This includes representation during your insurers internal disputes resolution process and at external dispute resolution through the Australian Financial Complaints Authority should the matter proceed to this stage.
