 It has been widely published that Residential Strata Insurance in North Queensland is becoming more difficult to arrange. Risk improvement measures and/or a favourable resilience report may help in obtaining insurance and in obtaining more favourable terms. In some circumstances discounts may be available. The North Queensland Strata Title Inspection Program (NQSTIP) is funded by the Australian Federal Government, administered by the Queensland Government, and independently developed and implemented by James Cook University.
The NQSTIP offers free property inspection reports and provide estimates of the current resilience of strata properties against future cyclone damage along with recommendations where appropriate for maintenance, upgrades or changes to enhance resilience. These reports provide useful information that may assist when you are considering the most appropriate preventative maintenance to reduce the risk of storm and cyclone damage.
